What I got for Christmas 2014 + Boxing Day

First post of 2015! YAY!

As you may have read in the previous-previous post, Christmas is Coming!!, I have mentioned a few of my early Christmas presents but TODAY, I will be "announcing" what I got for Christmas!

So the early ones I have mentioned are:
-A jar of POPPING CANDY
-A scented candle
-A HTC smart-phone (I can't use it in Australia though I have to use it in Indonesia)
-A french knitting kit
-A book light (Those torch stuff you clip on the pages)
-A notebooks set
-A Friendship Bracelet kit
-The LOTR and TH book set (its gonna arrive late though)

And HEAPS of candy canes, chocolate and Christmas cards! But I think I missed something......hmmm.....

Boxing Day. You might've heard of it, you might've not heard of it. Basically, Boxing Day is a day when theres a really competitive Boxing Competition held in every district/suburb. Everyone is supporting and also betting and the winner of the Boxing Competition will compete against other districts, right? WRONG! Boxing Day is a day when prices go down and people SHOP! No kidding. I literally don't know why they call it Boxing Day but the good thing is, ITS A DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS!!! A LOT of people are really determined to buy what they want. Some people have actually "camped" on streets with shops to get what they want before the shop runs out of the person's wanted item.
My family and I went to the DFO in the city to go shopping. We bought a few things and this is what we bought (me and my brother):

-Red and white Jordans for my brother
-Really colourful Converse for me
From this "moment" we went to Vans to get me another pair of shoes but we couldn't find the right
size and the right shoes for me so we went back to Converse...
-Purple and aqua Converse for me
-2 Tea-riffic travel mugs from Typo for me and my brother

And I think thats all we got on Boxing Day...

Thank you for reading and enjoy the rest of my blog, BYE!

2015

Hello everybody! This post is unfortunately the last post for 2014 but good news is, I will still post more stuff in the coming year, 2015

Today is the 30th of December which is a day before New Year's Eve! I am very excited for a new year because..... well I don't really know why BUT I AM REALLY EXCITED!
This year, were gonna see the fireworks at Federation Square in Melbourne and thats all I know.......um......

What I'm NOT excited about is Indonesia (no offence). Well it is a pretty good country but I DONT WANNA LEAVE AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I IS SHOOOOO SHADDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!(I is so sad)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to go to a new school, new church community et cetera. I will really miss my friends here but I am SO glad technology exists this century because I can contact them via email, Google+, maybe phones et cetera. Even 2 days after the last day of school, we already started a video chat....well not all of us but a few people did including me. We didn't really talk about anything. Since theres ''drawing'' on Google+ Video Call, we decorated ourselves and each other for fun.

Wanna here a story? Great! This story IS TRUE!
So last year (New Year's Ever) we were in Sydney. We went to a park or something to see the fireworks at 10 o'clock..... Guess how many hours we waited for the fireworks? Approximately 13 hours people! You fell for it! I know that you thought I came at 10 o'clock at night! So gullible! Oh LOL! It's true trust me...

Anyway! I actually CANNOT WAIT for New Year's Eve. So thank you so much for reading this and have a happy and safe New Year!

Christmas is Coming!!

Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting for a while but today is the 17th of December and there are 8 more days until.........CHRISTMAS!!! YAY!!! I am really excited about Christmas and I've got a few cards from some of my friends. I'm also part of a 'small Kris Kringle' with my friends and this morning, I opened m locker at school and saw a gift bag. There was a candle and a card and apparently, the card said it was from 'Santa'. Well, I don't believe in Santa Claus but anyway, thats not the point...

Anyway, I have received a few EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENTS and heres some of them...

- Popping Candy and a Candy Cane from Tiffany
- Candle (scented) from 'Santa' (I'm suspecting it to be Sarah or Nicole)
- HTC PHONE!!!! from my aunty (well I haven't got it but my mum has it and she's gonna give it to me on Christmas)

I think that's it....... FOR NOW!

I can't wait to get presents...but! Its good to give than receive, right?
At church, my family and I are handing out MnM electronic fans for every kid/child in the Sunday School, which also has MnMs inside!

I can't wait for Christmas and I bet you can't wait, right? Well guess, what? I can't wait even more than you! (Hehehehehehe)

Thank you guys for reading this and enjoy the rest of my blog!

Son Of Neptune!

Yay! I finished THE LOST HERO!
I am really happy to get my motivation back and now I have completed The Lost Hero and is reading Son Of Neptune, the second book in the Heroes Of Olympus series. So far, it is a really good book and it's a bit better than The Lost Hero to be honest. I mean, its a lot more exciting and 'mysterious' in a way.

Right now, I am 1/4 through the book which took me almost a week I think and it's already really adventurous. Well it has been quite happy, sad, scary et cetera et cetera. I'll tell u a scary part I've read SO FAR.

WARNING!!!! THIS IS A SPOILER!!!!!!

So Camp Jupiter had this thing called the War Games and basically there are 2 teams and they fight each other and stuff and bla bla bla and then this girl called Gwen got stabbed from the back after the war games so she died for a few seconds... then she came back alive and she didn't even realise until Hazel said that she was dead. And also Frank took out the sword that was stabbed in Gwen's chest but Gwen didn't even feel a thing?!?!?!?!? Isn't that NOT creepy?

Also, the picture next to this is cover of the Son Of Neptune I'm reading... FYI, the two snake-haired ladies at the top of the book are gorgons, similar to Medusa. And the guy at the bottom is Percy Jackson... its pretty obvious guys.

Okay so yeah I highly recommend it along with the other Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus books, its an awesome book and I especially recommend it to readers who likes fantasy/mythology, adventure and other genres related to them.

Thank you guys for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest of my blog, BYE!

Heroes Of Olympus Motivation!

I'm going to officially say that I have been motivated enough to keep reading the Heroes Of Olympus series! In a previous post (I don't remember which one), I mentioned I didn't feel like reading the HoO series. But now, finally, I am motivated! Well this is the whole story. I started reading The Lost Hero. Then I stopped reading it because I thought it might be boring and also I couldn't find a good copy. Then I had an idea to borrow it from my dad's friend from church. I asked him if I can borrow his Lost Hero and he lend it to me. And guess what? When I was still reading, the page I wasn't even up to yet was starting to rip which kind of "broke the motivation" and I asked my dad to sticky tape the outside bit and he did. From then, I didn't read the book for a while..... 2 days ago I went to the library (the one in the city). Good thing is, THE LOST HERO was on the bookshelf! YAAAY!!!!!!!! So I borrowed that book and now I'm in the middle of the book, which is good, I think... LOL! Well right NOW, I just finished the part when there were 3 cyclopes and Leo fought the mama one with fire and all that awesomeness. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you but when I was still reading Last Olympian, I started reading a tiny bit of The Lost Hero from the school library but stopped reading because I continued Last Olympian and because I had to return the book to the school library.
I do recommend The Lost Hero for you because it is a good book and its really adventurous and for those who don't know this, its kind of the continuing of the Percy Jackson & Olympians series (I'm guessing you DO know, well... YOU SHOULD KNOW!). The main characters are Jason, Piper and Leo and I'm pretty sure their quest (for the whole series) is to keep Gaea asleep (Gaea is the goddess of earth I'm pretty sure..) and they're basically trying to keep their grandma/great grandma asleep. So.. yeah...

Thank you all for reading my posts and I hope you enjoy the rest of my blog.. BYE!

Day 3 Of Canberra

We woke up in the morning, like what everyone does, and we did our usual stuff that we always do in the morning. We also watched TV. Then we set off and went to the Parliament house..

We arrived at the Parliament house and took a few photos and then we went inside. We waited for the 10:00 am public tour. Then the tour FINALLY started and then the tour guide talked for SO LONG she talked in the same area for 15 minutes.. she stood at the same spot and talked for 15 minutes and WE didn't even sit down! Anyway, it was a really good tour because we went to the House Of Representitives, and I mean THE House of Representitives.. where Tony Abbott and stuff talks and those things. It was a really cool building and I enjoyed it. If you want to know more about Australia's Parliament House, click here!

Secondly, we went to Questacon, a HUGE science exhibition. If you want more information about Questacon, then click here to go to the official Questacon website. Okay. So its not any old exhibitions with tour guides talking everywhere and just people giving information, there are HEAPS, and I mean HEAPS of hands-on activities about science. It was SO SO SO SO SO cool. There were so many things to see and do. There were also rooms called "galleries" and each gallery has their own "topic" or something. The coolest gallery for me was AWESOME EARTH because there was an earthquake house, where we're in a pretend house and you can feel an earthquake, and also they had ACTUAL LIGHTNING! It was so cool! There was also this gravity slide thingy it was SO STEEP I DIDNT WANT TO GO ON IT! Well first, my mum brought me there and I was scared, at first I didn't want to do it anyway. Then I just lined up and used the special suit and yeah. When I was at the top, there were 4 other people. The girl who was going next was absolutely terrified (well thats what she told me), but she went down. Then there was only 4 people, including me. NO ONE wanted to slide down... We kept on in siting each other to go but no one wanted to. Even though I was scared, I volunteered I was already hanging from the bar thing but I wouldn't let go.. ITS SO SCARY!!!!!!!!!! So anyway I went back up and after that none of us out of the four went down the slide. I know I'm usually not scared of stuff like that but THERE WERE NO SEATBELTS or SAFETY HARNESSES!!! They guy said it was absolutely safe but I heard that a guy hit his head and hurt himself.....(?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!). Oh yeah and we also watched some 'presentations'. The first one was about food science and the other was about insects. They were both good but I enjoyed the food science one probably because the lady who was presenting sprayed peoples tongues blue (blue food dye) including me, well people got to choose if they want to get their tongue sprayed blue or not. The insect one was alright but it seemed a bit... well... kiddish. NO OFFENCE!!! NO OFFENCE!!! NO OFFENCE TO QUESTACON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 2 of Canberra

When we woke up in the morning, we ate breakfast, showered and all the daily things we do in the morning.

Firstly, we drove to the Floriade, a public garden festival thingy, and the good thing was.. PEOPLE ARE FREE TO ENTER!
The flowers actually made some patterns or a picture if you look from a bird's eye-view. You couldn't really see it if you're on the ground but you can see the pictures formed from the flowers from the ferris wheel (I will talk about the ferris wheel in a few sentences). We took some photos (as usual) and my mum and dad agreed to let my brother and I buy FAIRY-FLOSS!!! We got to choose if we wanted it on a stick or bag and we both chose bags.. anyway the price was the same but the advantage of having a bag was there were 3 different flavours. We were also allowed to go on the ferris wheel. My brother didn't want to and my dad was scared he might get sick because it was pretty slow. So my mum and I went on. Each ticket was about I think $8 for one person. It seems expensive but it is pretty worth it. On the ground, the ferris wheel looks really high but when you're on it, it doesn't feel that high to be honest.
When it was lunch time, we each got a fish and chips pack. It was REALLY REALLY good. No offence but its not the best fish in the world but it was good. Then my parents took even more photos and then we went. If you want to find out more about it then click here for the website. The Floriade was fun!

Next, we went to Australia's War Memorial and it was pretty creepy in the outside but AWESOME inside! Outside, there were names of soldiers and people who helped in the war who died on the wall and people (probably just the staff who work there) stuck on some poppies (the flower) on the walls. It was really cool. Inside, we saw this show about the World War 2 and the video and lighting was AWESOME! It was about planes in the World War and I kind of felt sad because millions died in the war. I feel sorry for the people and their family members. I really do. We saw another World War (short) movie but its slightly but the animation (the people were real but I think the planes weren't real) is even cooler no offence. It was also sad because they actually showed the people falling off the planes that were shot... but I enjoyed it. Went we went to the shop, we bought a magnet thing.

Then, we went back to the holiday park and into our cabin, ate dinner and set off again..

Finally, we went to OUTSIDE the Parliament House (THE Parliament House with Tony Abbott and stuff..) and we took family photos and stuff. WE ONLY WENT THEI FOR NIGHT PICTURES SINCE THIS WAS OUR LAST NIGHT IN CANBERRA. Then, we went to our cabin again and finally slept.....zzzzzzzzzz.......

Thank you guys for reading this. Day 2 Of Canberra will be out soon and if you want to read Day 1 of Canberra, just scroll down!

Day 1 of Canberra

Day 1:
On the first day, Wednesday the 1st of October, we woke up at 1:30am because we were going to drive to Canberra. The trip was going to take approximately 7 hours from Melbourne to Canberra so we had to wake up earlier than usual. The previous day, we have rented another car because the rented car uses less petrol compared to our own car.
On the way to Canberra we stopped twice. The first one was at McDonalds because my dad needed to go to the bathroom. The second one was Hungry Jacks so we can have breakfast. After Hungry Jacks, we kept going. It only took 1 hour and 45 minutes approximately from Hungry Jacks to Canberra.

Finally, we arrived in Canberra. First, we went to the Cockington Green Gardens where there are miniature buildings and people and there are flowers and stuff. Its really cool! There are also some famous cultural buildings/landmarks from different countries. It was really cool!

Next, we went to the National Dinosaur Museum. When we entered, we got this activity sheet with questions about the dinosaurs and if we answer it, we will get a REAL FOSSIL TO TAKE HOME! We actually got everything right (our parents helped us too) when we were done and we got a shark tooth. We also bought a magnet souvenir there. In the exhibit, there were also robot dinosaurs. We learnt so much.

After that, we went to this Coin Mint thingy thing where we saw coins being made and we also made our own one dollar coin (for three dollars!!) and they said it will cost a lot of money in the future apparently.. The machines in there was SO SO cool! We also watched this video about the process of making coins.

Lastly, we went to the holiday park and we went to our cabin. Our cabin number was 16 (In Camp Half-Blood, it is the Nemesis Cabin) and it was a pretty nice cabin. There were 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom bla bla bla and the good thing was there was a TV! Even though it was small TV, at least we got to watch most of the usual shows in Melbourne.

Thank you guys for reading this! Day 2 of Canberra coming soon!
Enjoy the rest of my blog..
