Interesting Movies

So you might know that I am in Australia but I am Indonesian (I might have mentioned it in another post). I was born in Australia though, when my mum was doing her "master" which is basically, a "step" before the PhD. I lived in Indonesia for about 6-7 years.

Recently, my family have been visiting the City Library and my brother and I went to the area that has our favourite books and my mum also joined us. My dad didn't join us. Instead, he went upstairs where there were BILINGUAL CDs AND DVDs and he went to the Indonesian section and he borrowed an Indonesian DVD called Garuda Di Dadaku. If you don't know what it means then here is a screen-shot:

Basically, it means GARUDA DI DADAKU (Garuda is a bird).
The movie is about this kid called Bayu who has a passion for soccer and his grandpa didn't let his dad and him play soccer and then his grandpa never spoke to Bayu's dad until the day he died blah blah blah...
And Bayu has a friend named Heri who loves soccer even though he can't play it since he needs a wheelchair. So then when they watched a match (Jakarta versus East Java), after the match, Bayu kicked HIS ball and it hit the Jakarta player's bus and this other guy who was a soccer pro saw him and gave him a "business card" for a soccer school.
Um.. okay I think thats too much information (I don't want to SPOIL IT)
Don't expect it to be a lame BILINGUAL movie because if it was in English, it would be EXCELLENT (I read the ENGLISH SUBTITLES!). In my opinion, this movie is hilarious.

Than, the next 2 weeks we came to the City Library again.
I instantly asked my dad if he would let me go upstairs. I wanted to borrow Laskar Pelangi and Laskar Pelangi means THE RAINBOW TROOPS. Yes, another Indonesian film. I knew it was good because I watched the movie in 2008 and it was a shame I fell asleep at the VERY end of the movie. At the Library, my dad also found the 2nd part which is Sang Pemimpi which means The Dreamer in English. The Dreamer will make sense if you watch it Laskar Pelangi first.
Both of the movies are really good. My mum cried when she watched both of the movies because it is SO EMOTIONAL. Prepare some tissues because the tears will burst out very quickly when there is an emotional part (I DID NOT CRY BECAUSE MY TEARS DONT BURST EASILY).
YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT ALRIGHT?
Watch GARUDA DI DADAKU, LAKAR PELANGI and SANG PEMIMPI.

Now I want to watch more Indonesian movies (that is alright for my age) which is strange because I like English better no offence.

Thank you for reading and enjoy the rest of m blog!
Bye!
