Doxa Camp

Hellouw.... EVERY 1 !

I am back.

On the 14th of September I had my first school camp.
It was so much fun.

My roommates were:
- Best friend Cetta
- Melbina " Smiggle Lover" ( also my best friend)
- Kadija who dances very good ( also best friend )                            

They were so nice to me.

I have packed my bag and suitcase and I was all ready for Doxa.
I brought my toy dolphin with me to keep me safe at night.
My mum and I went to the hall to wait till' the bus comes.
I waited for my friends and the first one to arrive was Melbina.
Next was Cetta. We was waiting and waiting. It took so long to
have to wait for Kadija. But then... ' HERE SHE COMES !!' Kadija
came and put her bag next to ours and rushed up to us. My mum was still
waiting for me and Mrs Dalaveris came. My mum asked to take a picture and the
picture is right next to all this writing.

It took 1 and a half hours to get there. On the way to Doxa Camp I read a book called ' Camp Chaos'
It was actually Melbina's book but Melbina read my book called ' Flower Girl'. We both read until we got bored. I felt a little sick and I was kind of dizzy.

YAY ! We finally arrived at Doxa. We waited and We had to go inside the meeting room so that Anthony ( Doxa staff ) could tell us the rules at Doxa.

I couldn't wait for all the activities.
First my group went to the trampolines. There were four trampolines there, so we had to take turns.
Next, our the group went to the low ropes cours. I got a caterpilllar on my hand. EWWWW !!!
It was really tickly and I felt a little frightened !

There was still two things to do. Making huts and the activity I have been waiting for....  THE GIANT SWING !!!!

The next day I got ready and brushed my teeth. All of us went to the meeting room. Mrs. Dalaveris said that Mrs. Grimston and herself are going to check each room to see wheter it's clean or not. Me, Cetta, Kadija and Melbina rushed to our room and started cleaning. Cleaning the shelves, cleaning the sleeping bags, cleaning the pillows and everything that would let us down. Finally we was finished. Kadija had an idea to turn on the torches on each shelves. And we did. After that we came up with an idea to sing a song. The son goes like this...

" Welcome, welcome, welcome to our room... "

Sudenlly we heard a knock on the door. I felt terrified and the others were so nervous that Cetta almost shouted. The door opened and we started our song.

" Welcome, welcome , welcome to our room... "

We were surprised when we opened the door. Some people were looking at our room.

" Chity chat chity chat " the teachers were talking and writing notes.
I forgot what they said but they said it was great!

Later on in the day we went to the giant swing !
AWESOME !
Melbina said I went up to seven metres!

EXCURSION TO THE MELBOURNE AQUARIUM!!

On Monday( 20th of August) I went to the Melbourne Aquarium. It was so much fun and I learnt new things about the sea creatures.

I learnt new things like...

- Penguins have feathers not fur

- Puffer-fish puff only when they are scared

- Some rays are not stingrays. Rays' (Not stingrays) sting is not 

dangerous. Bees' sting hurts even more than a ray's sting

-Sharks do not eat humans. They just think you are its meal so

they might bite you.

- Frogs breath with their skin.

There are more things I have learnt but I won't write it down.

My favourite sea creature is a dolphin but

sadly there were no dolphins in the Aquarium.

My favourite part of the excursion was when I saw jellyfishes

because there were purple lights there and everything we wore

that were white glows in the dark. It looked AWESOME!!!

Come to the Melbourne Aquarium..

 You will see lots of odd sea creatures.

Mt Buller

Hello Everybody ! I finally touched snow. Remember my post, I wish I could touch snow. Well finally I did. This is the story.

I was going to Mt Buller with my church group. I was excited. The first time I did thought that snow was as soft as flour. The trip took five hours to get there. Some people was vomiting in the bus. Cetta was dizzy and she vomited 2 times. I do not know why. I was fine but then I was not. Then I smell something disgusting. The person at the back of my seat vomited. He didn't even vomited in his plastic bag that the bus person gave. When we stopped somewhere. I moved seats. Not many people sat near it. Then we watched Happy Feet. It was a good movie.

And then we arrived. I had the best feeling. Next I touched the snow. It was kind of hard to make snow balls. I shouldn't trust movies. I'll only make snowballs if I do have a snow machine. Or even better. Snow Ball Machine ! Then I played played played and played. And I went home.

My Birthday

It was my birthday last week. I feel really happy because I get to choose my birthday

present. I chose Lego. The pictures was taken at Highpoint. My family and I went to Highpoint to go to Nandos. The food was delicious. My birthday is at May 8. Being a 9 year old girl is quite hard though.

I think this is the first time I got to choose my own presents. Cetta gave me Go Girl books and Tiffany got me UNO cards (even though I do not know how to play it). Deska's mum gave me a bag.

It felt good. Melbina, ( My classmate at school ) gave me a card. I was really really happy.

Bimbi

This is my brother Bimbi. He is very funny. Sometimes he is good and sometimes he is not. Bimbi is also very silly. When he laughs, he laughs very loudly! He act like babies a little. He is a cry baby. This picture ( the picture up above ) was taken when he went BANANAS ! Actually it was taken when Alvina and Zahra went on a sleepover at my house. Look at the picture carefully... It's funny isn't it. His favourite animal is lions. He likes green and he loves Coca - cola. Coca - cola is his favourite drink. Bimbi has a blog and it is called ' Kerubim's Adventure '.
